Who First Discovered The Airplane: Santos Dumont Or Wright bros?

Dumont proved that controlled flight was possible and did construct a viable, working airplane before the Wright Brothers. However, the control mechanisms were sub par and he was unable to complete a successful flight before the Wright Brothers did. (They completed their flight 3 years before Dumont had some successes)
